Brunetti Women’s Coffee Club Ride
Come for the ride, stay for the coffee
Saturday 18 October 2008.
Women of all ages and abilities enjoyed a great day at the Brunetti Women's Coffee Club Ride. Sixty women arrived to start the morning with a Brunetti coffee before a ride briefing from Warren (Bike Now). Everyone then broke into small groups to start the ride with their Ride Angel. Weather conditions were warm and windy, which provided a great challenge as people cycled from Carlton to Kew Boulevard and back. People had the opportunity to learn about different obstacles including traffic, tram tracks, corners...and a blown tyre!
By lunchtime, the clouds had disappeared and everyone returned to the Women's Hub for a tasty Brunetti lunch (and more coffee...who could resist!). The shade of the umbrellas was the perfect place to watch the action of the Jayco Herald Sun Tour. Early racers were flying past as Rob (RideWiser) gave an informative talk about racing and fitness. Two lucky women won prizes in the raffle (a Brunetti cycling kit and a $400 voucher from Richmond Cyclery) and at 2pm all attention turned to the women racing in the Amy Gillett Cup.
A special thanks must go to our Ride Angels who all volunteered their time. The Angels were there to make sure that everyone found their way around the course, but they also shared safety tips, info about bikes and, most importantly, their passion for cycling.
For everyone who attended, don't forget to look at all the great material in your showbag. Plenty of upcoming rides and events, including a voucher for a FREE training class with the Ridewiser ERGO program.

Cinema Nova & Brunetti Join Forces For a
Carbon Neutral Eco Friendly Fashion Parade & Party
To launch the Arctic documentary THE WHITE PLANET, Cinema Nova and Brunetti initiated an event designed to show Melbournians just how easy it is to be green. Tackling the serious, contemporary issues of climate change and turning them into an evening of fun, the event included a white themed fashion parade and party followed by a screening of THE WHITE PLANET. Taking mediums traditionally considered to cause problems for our environment – fashion, cosmetics, consumable goods – Cinema Nova and Brunetti turned them all green. With the help of eco friendly local fashion designer V.LITH, beautiful models from VIVIEN’S MODEL MANAGEMENT, carbon neutral beer PURE BLONDE , Organic tea and coffee from T2 and Vittoria, we went out to prove that you can still look incredibly beautiful and enjoy top of the range food and beverages whilst looking after our environment.
